What is the weight formula for an MS round bar?

The weight of an MS round bar per meter is: W = (D² ÷ 162.27) kg/m, where D is diameter in mm. For example, a 50mm dia. round bar weighs approximately 15.43 kg/m. This calculator uses the exact formula: Area = π/4 × D², then multiplied by density.
